Manual deletion
You can't delete any formal matches that have been received from external providers such as for tournaments, team league and even external box providers. Even if we delete those at our end they will only come back again from their respective feed.
To delete one of these you need to go back to the source system (i.e. via the tournament or league organiser) and ask them to delete it. If they agree and remove the match then do please get in touch and we can also remove at our end. That doesn't happen automatically but it needs to be not coming over in the feed first.
You *can* delete manually entered matches for friendlies and SquashLevels boxes games if you are one of the players. We do ask that both players have agreed to those matches being entered but, if that's not the case, or it was just entered incorrectly, then either of the players can remove it.
To remove such a match, click on match review, scroll down to the bottom, click on edit and then you'll be offered a button to delete - which you then need to confirm! We don't make it all that easy on purpose but it's also not that hard.
Auto-deletion
The system will automatically delete a match during its nightly processing if it thinks it's a duplicate or an updated result based on two matches having the first of these and at least one of the last two:
- Same date (and within two hours)
- Same opponent
- Same score
It will assume that the more recent result is the correct one and auto-delete the first one.
This is used if the same result is received from two different systems or, quite commonly, someone enters a box result as a club match and then, immediately afterwards, as a box match.
